Exciting Climate Project updates

Exciting Climate Project updates

With Earth Day right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to check out Climate Project—again, or for the first time. Climate Project is a new take on climate education, designed to equip students with an understanding of the realistic and authentic ways they can confront climate change.

No matter your experience with the course—whether you're just starting or have been using the materials for a while—you'll find exciting updates designed to improve your experience. We’ve been listening to your feedback and working behind the scenes to streamline lessons, improve accessibility, and enhance usability—all to help you bring climate education to your students.
Here’s a quick overview of the changes we’ve made:

A Stronger, More Engaging Narrative

Climate change is a complex, interconnected issue, and we want students to see the full picture in terms that make sense to them. Instead of getting caught up in the lingo and definitions, students will explore causes, impacts, and solutions in a more straightforward way, which will help them make stronger connections and retain the information.

Streamlined Activities

We know that clear, easy-to-follow activities make a huge difference in the classroom. That’s why we’ve:

  • Shortened and streamlined activity layout and instructions, so they’re easier to implement digitally or print for use in your classroom.
  • Updated openers and closers so they provide lesson-specific bookends.
  • Introduced a flexible format: All activities are now offered in Google Doc and Microsoft Word so you can easily revise and plug them into your existing systems.

More-Accessible Articles in Fresh Formats

Reading materials should be engaging and accessible, so we’ve updated articles with a fresh, reader-friendly format that includes inline vocabulary. Plus, like the revised activities, every article is now available in Word and Google Docs, so you can edit, customize, and print with ease. And, of course, we’ve still got multiple reading levels of each article to support differentiation.

Brand-New Classroom Materials

We’ve added some brand-new materials to keep learning fresh and engaging, including:

New Look, Same Great Support

We know teaching climate change can be challenging, and we want to make it as seamless as possible. These updates reflect your feedback and are designed to give you more flexibility, less stress, and more time to focus on what matters most.
