Climate Project Information Session: April 12, 2023

Session time: April 12, 2023 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. PT

Climate change is here, but it’s not too late to save the planet. Our most urgent climate challenge is to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. We all have a role to play, and our best resources for climate mitigation are in today’s K-12 classrooms. The OER Project developed a climate curriculum that focuses on policy and action through a social studies lens. You do not need to have a science background to attend or teach the course.

In this session you will learn how to teach the Climate Pilot Extension, a short course that can be made to fit within your existing class curriculum. Come and learn how we inspire and prepare social studies students to tackle this problem and effect change in their communities, schools, and personal lives. The final 30 minutes of the session will be reserved for Q&As.
