How do historians evaluate what's true? Claim testing is an important analytical process for assessing the quality and veracity of claims. It helps students “see” and evaluate people’s assertions and gives shape to one of the most important--and useful--historical critical-thinking practices. In this session, educators will practice OER Project's claim-testing process and examine classroom activities and resources to grow students' abilities to evaluate historical accounts and make historical interpretations.
