PRIMARY SOURCES TO HELP STUDENT DEVELOP ARGUMENTS AND EMPATHY

I loved Maritere Mix's use of primary sources to enrich her students' experience with history. It is making me think of how I can include more primary sources in my world history class to peak interest and engage students in digging deeper into different civilizations. And not just to learn "the facts", but to grasp and glean an understanding and empathy for what life was like in a given time period, which to me, is what makes history come alive. Thanks!
