I enjoyed the backstory and elaboration Jessica offered, as she introduced us to the complex statement thesis formula. I have jolted it along with some key points, I look forward to using this approach this upcoming school year. Thank you for sharing such a gem with us.

    I liked the way the talk unfolded too. And I'm thinking that using the thesis formula as a "quick and dirty" assessment will have great possibilities. Not only can it be a lesson exit assessment, but if done frequently it provides bedrock to build better writing when students attempt longer pieces.
