Now more than ever teachers need to incorporate current events into their classrooms using an interdisciplinary approach. In particular, Social Studies and English teachers have an obligation to make space for understanding urgent social matters. In this talk, Hope Teague Bowling shares a few words of advice for how to intentionally design a classroom environment that fosters and supports rich discussions.
