The video was very informative and I enjoyed it greatly. I have also used KWL when I go to different areas of the world while teaching 7th grade history. I think it is very important to connect our students to not only what is going on in the United States but also around the world so that they can see differences and similarities.

Can you share how you move beyond the local level to bring in the global perspective? It would be nice to learn from others how they increase global awareness in classrooms.
