How do you save a planet? This talk gives us a place to start: by teaching our young citizens the ACE Elements. Awareness, Curiosity, and Empathy are each fundamental building blocks in helping students to develop civic attitudes. When we connect our lessons to their lives, students develop the curiosity needed to become life-long learners. As they become more curious, they get more comfortable learning about unfamiliar people and places, helping them become more empathetic. By teaching the ACE elements to students, teachers can begin building the toolset they need to build they world they want to live in.
