I watched this with interest as soon as she said that she taught seniors. Using reading, writing, speaking, listening & thinking to develop literacy is something the students I teach need. However, they don't want to do the work to accomplish that sadly. So, how to motivate them? I like the thought of using Flipgrid. If students can use their phone, I think that will assist them to feel more like they can be successful. I know the students HATE reading. Even current events, National Geographic articles, etc. I have tried them all. Help. I'd like to be able to apply what Donnetta speaks of in this excellent video.
