How can we make the past feel real for students? OER Project has developed graphic biographies to engage students in exploring the lives of individuals mostly drawn from the "margins" of world history. They're carefully built to help students connect those lives to the "big stories" of world history. Educators will dive into the OER Project approach to teaching with graphic bios, and will explore the lesson plans for teaching visual and textual literacy skills needed to draw meaning from these unique texts.
