Part 1 of a 3-Part Series on Supporting Student Writing
Giving students feedback on their writing is the most effective way to provide immediate, actionable, and individualized support. But the process shouldn’t be so time-consuming that it only happens once or twice a year. Led by Annette O'Boyce, Senior National Facilitator at the National Center on Education and the Economy, this three-part series discusses efficient strategies for delivering focused writing feedback that any history teacher can use. Registration for session one is open now!
In this first session, we will develop a shared understanding of what ‘at-standard’ writing looks like in ninth/tenth-grade history students. We will discuss priorities for feedback and how to give students that feedback in ways that support them as writers and you as their teacher.
