World History Project Onboarding Session: June 6, 2023

Session time: June 6, 2023, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. PT

The World History Project is a global history course aimed at tenth-grade students that provides a cohesive approach to learning and understanding the history of the world. In this course, you and your students will explore our long human history—beginning before humans existed and ending in our present moment. This course will help students learn how to use stories about the past to orient themselves to the present and prepare for the future.

During this session, participants will review materials to help them plan and prepare to teach World History Project Origins. Participants will have time to develop a rough draft of a pacing guide for Unit 1 and be given the opportunity to chat with OER Project team members. Thirty minutes will be provided at the end for participants to ask any questions they might have.

Important: This session's content does not overlap with the Information Sessions. If this is your first time hearing about World History Project, you may want to check out an information session to help orient yourself.
