I am in the middle of my Trilogy of Food Activities on Wednesday. It starts with the Hunter Gatherer Menu, where students learn how ancient humans found their meals—no grocery stores, just pure survival. This is a great activity to do after they compare Archaeology Sites.
Then, we dive into the World Zone Cafe, history’s ultimate food mashup, blending old-world and new-world ingredients.
Finally, we land on the Recipe for Revolution, where students see how food, or the lack of it, drives revolutions—bread riots, empty plates, and all. Was this trilogy intentional? Either way, it's a great activity sequence connecting some really big ideas! Has anyone noticed any other similar theme progression in the OER Projects material?
