India's Partition????

McCalla Hill
McCalla Hill over 1 year ago

Hi all!
I am headed into era 7 of the big history project. I was already planning to look at the ways that WW2 impacted many of the British colonies, specifically looking at the creation of Israel and the partition of India. I see a resource regarding Israel, but is there nothing in ERA 7 about India's partition??

thx

I like the treaty-writing idea!  That would definitely still engage high-schoolers.

These are fantastic resources! What grades do you incorporate all of these into? I'm teaching a class that has all the middle school age ranges in it and am trying to decide if this is too advanced for some of my 6th graders.

Thanks for the resources, Janet Mann .

I like the short and sweet concentration, especially when adding it as a quick dive into something else that is a bigger section.

Janet Mann I didn't know you did Hexagonal Thinking!

A friend introduced me to that about a year ago. I think it has some good applications.

I'm trying to fit it into work in the Climate Project. Anyone have any good ideas for me?

I've been using Hexagonal Thinking as a strategy for review in my APWH course, and I think it could been a great tool for the Climate Project.

There's so much interconnected with Climate - maybe you can have different categories of Adaptation, Mitigation, Innovation, and students can see how they might connect and work together.
