Wild and weird Big History

Bridgette OConnor
Bridgette OConnor 26 days ago
My Big History students were always amazed at all the strange and interesting facts there are about the Universe, and they loved sharing new discoveries they saw in the news with the class.
Did you know that a timeline of the Universe’s history would wrap around the world more than three times, or that nineteenth- and early-twentieth-century female astronomers at Harvard were the university’s first “computers”?

These interesting facts and more are included in the Teaching Tools hammer. We’d love to know some of the cool facts and discoveries that you share with your Big History students. Share your knowledge and how your students reacted and we might include them in the hammer!
