Student Climate Summit- would you and your students like to collaborate?

My people-- for the past two years (Spring 2023 and 2024) we have ran a Climate Summit at my school. Students were given the opportunity to pitch their Innovation Pathways and climate problem solving ideas to local politicians and officials. I would like to scale it out to other schools in the greater NY/NJ area.

The basic premise would be a Climate Project civics/social studies take on the ‘science fair.’ Students and educators would have a chance to collaborate while we call on experts to review projects and give talks. The planning process is started yesterday with my administration and I would like to get a rough shape of this during the Fall semester.

Climate Project and Big History Project students could both do this well, Let me know if you’re interested.Tagging some of the homies.

Mike Skomba , what a great idea! I was really impressed with the projects your students did last year. What type of insect bread did I eat again? Was it crickets?
