Has anyone used Hans Rosling's Magic Washing Machine video?

I use this video in my AP Human Geography class when we discuss gender roles/gender equality but I was wondering if anyone has used it in Climate Project? The video is from 2010 so the data isn't exactly accurate - for example he discusses the 7 billion people in the world which has now become 8 billion. But I thought it could be useful to see how global energy usage increases over time. I would love to know if you think it could be useful and/or where you would place it. Thanks!

Andrea Wong I also showed this video for my APHG course, but I later replaced it with this one because it compares levels of socioeconomic development with population growth and the use of renewable energy sources.

Hans' videos use statistics that have changed over time, but the power of visualization make data more accessible and engaging for students to understand.

Laura Massa I  have seen the boxes analogy before. This TED talk was interesting because it seems like this is where the model originated. It was made in 2010, with projections to 2050. It would be interesting to see how closely on or off track we are in nearly 2025.

For those who might not be familiar with Hans Rosling or the Gapminder Foundation, everything there is good.

The BHP gapminder activity in Unit 10 has always been one of my favorites.

This is a great message, industrialization brings books.  I'm showing this to my world history class and contemporary world problems.
