Great resource - EPA Climate Indicator Report for 2024

I was looking for some resources to have my students delve in more deeply on the Impacts of Climate Change and came across this website by the EPA on Climate change indicators. 
I know that some government websites have been taken offline, and I was actually surprised this was still there, and my science colleagues told me to download anything I might want to use in the future since it might not be available soon.     If anyone knows how to download larger websites, please share the knowledge. I don't have time right now to do each page I'd want to have students access in the future.  EPA's newest publication on the indicators of climate change is still available, and downloadable.  This includes all the materials that are on the website, but obviously wouldn't be as easily navigable. 

This isn't meant to be political, but just facing the reality that some resources that we want to use may not be available in the near future.

  • You bring up really good points,  , and you've asked a good question.

    I don't think you can download a website. Once you bring it off the WWW it is no longer interactive. You could download reports, or save screenshots of images, but they would all be in isolation.

    If I am mistaken, I would love to hear from others, please! Tagging in a few.

    Yes, I was afraid of that. The beauty of the website was so students could interact with it, and it was one of the few I found that was as thorough as this one.

    , which made me remember this post. Hopefully we will still have some good sources of climate research information despite the whims of whoever is running the gov at the time. 

    Hopefully this resource will help us bridge political whims and still be able to teach the truth.

    Thank you for circling back,  

    Unfortunately I did not have this resource when I did the climate project with my students this year, but I made do with a saved version of the EPA site.  Indeed, as I suspected, the Climate Indicators pages was taken down though there were PDF reports of it still floating around on the internet.  I found one that was published in 2025, printed out the charts and graphs so students could still look at the data (though outdated now. It wasn’t the same for them, but for next year, I’ll use the climate.us site!

    It's a bummer that this is the way it is right now. My hope is that progress being made at the state and local level and in other parts of the world will outweigh the backsliding of this admin. And I hope that this is the last backslide we have to endure! How much longer can we stand in the way of the necessary changes so a few corporation scan rake in more money? Why don't these industry giants see and take advantage of the economic opportunities in green energy technology and reimagining the grid? Is it just inertia? Or something else?
