Throughline does it again! It might be a bit late to use this podcast episode this year (I start my lesson on apartheid in 14 hours) but I'm definitely making a note of it for next year! It looks like a nice compliment to the Apartheid article.

Great find, Anne Koschmider Thanks for linking the podcast -- it's a great listen. And, as you point out, a complement to the article.
In another stroke of good timing, the Retro Report newsletter featured a lesson on geographic segregation including a comparison of apartheid policies with Jim Crow laws this morning.
Anne Koschmider , where do I find the lesson on comparing Apartheid to Jim Crow?
Donnetta Elsasser , I came across the lesson in the Retro Report newsletter but you can also access it directly here.
Thanks, Anne Koschmider . I always draw a comparison between Apartheid and Jim Crow, especially during the Nadir. But if there's a lesson out there, I'm all over it. Thanks for bring this to our attention!
I am definitely saving this link for next year Anne Koschmider , thank you! I missed this post but it would have come just in time - I was discussing Apartheid in my 1750 classes just last week.
I would also recommend this short but sweet clip from Desmond Tutu. It made for great conversation, comparing different examples of human rights violations in global history through the communities frame.
Wow Anne Koschmider ! You're on an amazing Podcast run here. Thank you very much for this treat. Will absolutely have to use this next year, as well. Any other podcasts you recommend I'm all ears. Thank you again for your help.
Jeffrey Boles my AP Psychology class is really enjoying season one of Serial right now! I use portions of Invisibilia in that class as well.
Other favorites include Here's Where it Gets Interesting by Sharon McMahon This American LIfe, and History Daily. I also thought this podcast from NPR on reconciliation villages in Rwanda would be a useful way to wrap up a lesson on the Rwandan genocide.
