How do you use Gapminder?

Gapminder is one of my absolute favorite resources to use in class. We developed a project around it (and Dollar Street)  for the end of the year when we look at the modern world, but I often finding myself referencing the website when we learn about new events and places just to show the history around the place (ex: how a war, industrialization, political change, etc. can impact the health and wealth of a country).  I was just curious to see if other teachers have come up with other creative uses for it?  I'm always open to new ideas.

Todd Nussen first, thanks for sharing your take on the Dollar Street Project! I like your take on the reflection questions.

Second, your post is timely as my class has used Gapminder twice this week. First, we did the When Countries Industriaized activity. Then, I had students use the Gapminder Worldview Upgrader to take the quiz on water and sanitation before comparing industrial England and modern India.
