AI Tool Turns Class Notes into a Podcast!

Hi everyone!,

A couple of weeks ago I found out about an AI Tool called Google Notebook LM. This tool does a lot of cool things, including turning class notes into NPR style podcasts. Students can upload their digital notes, click notebook guide, then load their conversation. Within minutes, an awesome study tool is born- a podcast of their notes! Totally wish this was around when I was in high school and college. 

The tool also has features where you can ask your notes questions. The website will take a moment to sift through your notes and will then provide an answer.

    WOW! John Vidoli  thank you for doing this! The laughs are even placed in the places someone would laugh! The emphasis on words like lavish- spot on! It sounds so real. To be honest, as an auditory learner- I love this!!! But yes scary in some ways. 

    Did you use a lesson plan from OER or did you upload an article? I’m up to Investigation 3 in BHP right now. Might have to throw some of the documents up to this website and see what kind of podcast it creates !

     Adriane Musacchio , I just copied the links. It did all the rest. It also can create a Briefing Document and a Study Guide. Truly amazing stuff. 

    What got me about the audio was how quickly it could create something so lifelike. It was also really interesting to listen to.

    I might share it with my students as they prepare for the DBQ essay.

    Didn’t realize you could also provide links! I really think my students will like using this tool when I roll it out! 

    That outline is awesome! I love the idea of using AI as a study tool. Gets me thinking about how far collective learning has truly come!
