how have you modified this program for your neurodivergent students? I have one particular writing resistant student who will only write DND campaigns. I plan to have this student pick a historical person to write a DND character and events campaign. Does anyone have such a rubic for this assignment?

Kudos to you for finding a project to help their needs! I ran your request through ChatGPT and this is what it came up with:

Star2 D&D Historical Figure Campaign Project Rubric (Neurodivergent-Friendly)

Category Exceeds Expectations (4 pts) Meets Expectations (3 pts) Approaching (2 pts) Needs Support (1 pt)
Historical Accuracy & Research Demonstrates deep understanding of the historical figure; includes multiple accurate facts/events creatively woven into the character and campaign. Shows accurate knowledge of the historical figure; at least 3 key facts/events are included. Includes 1–2 facts or general traits; needs more accurate or specific details. Few or no accurate historical elements included; may need help with research or clarification.
Character Creation Character sheet is fully developed with thoughtful alignment, class, background, and traits that connect well to the historical figure. Character includes alignment, class, and traits mostly connected to the real person. Some parts of the character are missing or unclear; historical connection is weak. Character is underdeveloped or missing major parts; needs guidance.
Campaign Storyline Creative and engaging story that clearly connects to real historical events or themes; includes obstacles, allies, and goals. A campaign outline is present; includes at least one historical event or challenge. Some story ideas are presented but not fully developed; weak or unclear connection to history. Campaign story is missing or needs extensive support to organize ideas.
Creativity & Expression Highly original; includes maps, sketches, dialogue, or other extras that show personal flair and imagination. Creative effort is clear; may include one or two extras or original ideas. Shows some creativity, but mostly sticks to a basic format. Needs encouragement or help to explore creative expression.
Clarity & Effort Work is organized, easy to follow, and shows consistent effort and care. Work is mostly organized and complete with visible effort. Some parts are incomplete, rushed, or hard to follow. Work is mostly incomplete or disorganized; needs support with structure or pacing.

White check mark Total Score: ___ / 20
