Teacher self-care. What are you doing to take care of yourself during the school year?

I've learned to say no.   I don't need to cover every class, go to every game an do everything.   I do what I want to do and what I feel like should be done.

This is a perfect thread for March, Mike Weisensel ! March tends to be a busy month for me which usually means I am unable to commute to the gym as frequently as I would like to. I’m still able to treat myself to a little at home workout class on those days by using the pelaton app! They have meditations as well! Educators get a discount for the basic level subscription too! I love using it! :)

I've been walk a lab in the hall between classes.  Seems to work.

I keep doing what I love outside of the classroom - everything that makes me happy and smile!

I need to learn to say no. I always say yes sometimes missing appointments that I had scheduled.

I run. I run far distances on the weekends at the local rail trail near my house. That brings a certain zen to my week. I also work on projects for me, projects for the family, and spend time with my little daughters. Work gets done at work is the mantra of my 30s and it has been a game changer.
