Book Recommendation for History Award

Laura Massa
Laura Massa 9 months ago

Hello community! I’m selecting a book for a senior who will be receiving our History Department Book Award this year, and I’d love your input. This student has a strong interest in both history and women’s studies, so I’m looking for something engaging and intellectually rich—perhaps a powerful biography, a social history, or a compelling narrative that highlights women’s voices or gender in historical context.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Adam Esrig Gwen Duralek Anne Koschmider Ebony McKiver

If you're open to fiction recommendations, Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley or tThe Nightingale by Kristin Hannah might be of interest. I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai is also good for nonfiction.

Thanks so much for these suggestions Anne Koschmider They look interesting to me. I read I Am Malala, but the others are new to me—I'm excited to check them out!
