Book Recommendation for History Award

Laura Massa
Laura Massa 9 months ago

Hello community! I’m selecting a book for a senior who will be receiving our History Department Book Award this year, and I’d love your input. This student has a strong interest in both history and women’s studies, so I’m looking for something engaging and intellectually rich—perhaps a powerful biography, a social history, or a compelling narrative that highlights women’s voices or gender in historical context.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Adam Esrig Gwen Duralek Anne Koschmider Ebony McKiver

Wow! Katie Raby Thank you so much for the thoughtful recommendation! I'm really glad you took the time to suggest a history book that also considers gender—it’s exactly the kind of connection I was hoping to make for my student.
