How do you teach students about globalization and trade?

Globalization and tariffs can be tricky topics, but they are important to understanding factors impacting the world today. Trade, tariffs, and globalization, these concepts show up regularly in everything from headlines, podcasts, and TikTok. I am including links below that help break things down a bit, but I’d love to hear from you!

What resources, activities, or strategies do you use to teach globalization or tariffs in a way that sticks?

Thanks for sharing Shauna Aningo , these are some great resources! I've used the Planet Money Makes a T-Shirt video. I haven't done as much on tariffs before and I wish I had some of these resources about a month ago when I was teaching about globalization. I definitely will do more with this next year!

I recently learned about importyeti.com, which allows you to enter U.S. companies and receive data about their suppliers. I haven't quite figured out how to use it in class yet, though - suggestions are welcome!

I have used - and liked - the Planet Money videos in the past as well. This year, I was thinking about replacing them with this WSJ option about Shein.
