Angelina Meadows One of the key successes of the new course configuration has been the shortening of the videos. In the past, I often had to stop or skip the original Big History videos, some 11 minutes long, because they were too long for my students’ attention spans. The new videos are simply fabulous.

For example, in Big History, they retained Dr. David Christian’s narration but broke the content into segments, creating natural pauses for students to reflect and transition to different concepts. The images are powerful and help students understand complex processes. Previously, I had to supplement my explanations with maps, images, and video clips. Now, the learning process is much smoother, and the videos are just five minutes long—wonderful!
