I’m looking forward to The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau by Kristin Harmel. It might lean more toward the fiction end of historical fiction, but it sounds intriguing.

I would like to read  The History of God, by Karen Armstrong, and We the People by Jill LePore,  both a bit ambitious. I’ll be driving a bit so may do Mythos by Stephen Fry and/or the Iliad and/or the Aeneid, neither of which I’ve read. Then there’s the fiction, the podcasts…I’m looking forward to suggestions from this thread!

Oh, summer reading - I'll always put a classic novel on my list.  This year it's Anna Karenina.  I'll also try to finish the Loneliness of Sonia & Sunny & the Memory Police.  For history, I'll take on The Rediscovery of America as well as Powers and Thrones.  We'll see how far I get!  Gwen Duralek, Christine Juch

I've been meaning to finally read, A History of the World in 6 Glasses, by Tom Standage and see how I can implement it into my curriculum.  Some other possible books are the Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet by David Mitchell, and the Last Kingdom by Bernard Cornwell

I've been 1/2 through Pillars of the Earth for years now!  Maybe I'll try to finish it this summer too!

I have enjoyed the setting of the Discovery of Witches, as folks at home have watched it.

A few years ago, OER ran a book club on The Women (K Hannah's book). Loved it! Great summer read on the role of women in the Vietnam conflict.

Been so distracted between work and the kids but I hope to finally have time to read for leisure this summer.

I love these lists!  I, too, am interested in The Fabric of Civilization Gwen Duralek  - I love history-through-commodity reads, and Angel Harewood , Kristin Hannah is great!  I love that idea.

And so many other great reads suggested by others.  I'm looking forward to seeing the list of suggestions grow!
