Signed posters for your bulletin board refresh

Fresh school year, fresh classroom walls. We’re giving away signed Shepard Fairey History Frames posters—perfect for bringing big historical questions into your classroom.

To claim one, comment below with one way you teach through any of the history frames:

  • Communities
  • Networks
  • Production and Distribution

Posters are available to the first 45 eligible commenters, while supplies last. One poster per person; designs will be selected at random and cannot be requested. Open to U.S. residents ages 18 and older.

  • These posters are beautiful! While all three frames are crucial, the Networks frame fits well into AP World Unit 2 to show how the Silk Road, Indian Ocean, and Trans-Saharan routes spread technology, world religions, and cultures.

  • These are unbelievably cool! I always use the communities frame to close and end my units. I find it incredibly helpful for students to think about how communities have changed over time. Even periods that they might not even think of… Like how hunter gathers existed in communities, compared to people during the age of empires, how that changed with nation states, and during the industrial revolution, etc. Such a useful tool.

    Please don't count me among the recipients for these posters...I'm just chiming in to say I was lucky enough to get them last year and they are so lovely! Classroom decor that doubles as a useful student reference is a win-win!

  • I love Shepard Fairey! The theme for our entire middle school curriculum is interdependency between people and with nature, so all the frames are clearly relevant. I find that students connect the most with the community frame because they are so socially focused and the parallels to their lives and communities is an easy jump for them to make.

     Interdependency as a whole-curriculum theme is such a great lens for all three frames!
