Great learning experience this week for my student as we did the Silk Road Simulation. Here are a few pictures from the "fun!" Instructions for the lesson were great; however it did take a little planning, cutting, and making of table labels, but it was worth it! When I asked the students whether they thought that they actually "learned" from it, rather than just enjoyed the lesson, they responded with a resounding, "YES!" I gave an SAQ the next day and I saw evidence of the activity in their answers! I highly recommend this activity (maybe next year for those ahead of me; or maybe as a review activity before the test!)

I just did this last week and adjusted it for AP as well. They seemed to really enjoy it. I did it last year, but it took two days. Was able to adjust it to get it finished in one class period this year. I also gave an SAQ on Friday, I have not had a chance to grade them yet, but I am excited to see the evidence they bring from the experience!
