No maps?

Stephen Drena

Hello all. I am just kinda jumping in to the refreshed site and didn't know there were big changes. Are there no more Mapping/geography activities? Is this related to a change in the AP World exam I am not aware of? Just not sure what I'm missing

Not sure where they are on the website anymore, but here's my mapping activity. The sites are definitely still active, they may just need to be reput on the website. (But I'd look under the 1.0, 2.0, etc lessons to check.

Hi Stephen Drena and thanks for your question. We do still have the maps on the site and you can access them here: https://www.oerproject.com/OER-Materials/OER-Media/PDFs/Worksheets/WHP-Maps-Index Note that we are working on putting together a Maps Topic Page and that will also feature some new political and regional maps. As for the geography activities, we no longer have those on the site and we're working on updating them for our World History courses. Tagging in our resident map expert Bennett Sherry to provide some guidance. You can still access the older map activities, which are in the Google Drive with all the older AP materials. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jRtO-GFp9PHbJikkPZRAfP7GNnZAjjXr?usp=drive_link

Stephen Drena We did remove the mapping activities in response to teacher feedback on their complexity. But as Bridgette says, you can access the activities in the Google drive link. In the meantime, we are working on expanding our offering of world and regional maps and working on a plan for improved WH geography activities. Please reach out if there's another other ways we can help. Thank you!

HI Bennett. Do you all have a Google drive link to the WHP Origins course materials? I LOVED the geography activities and would be eternally grateful to have access to the resources from the course so that I may continue to use them with my students.
