Drawing the Frames of an empire

Hayden, I think this is a great take on formalizing the "Draw the Frames" concept! Did students learn about the various empires first, or just select one to investigate for this activity?

Thanks for the positive feedback. This is just the introduction to the project we only just looked at each frame in detail. They are year 10 students so have had colonial history up to WWI but many of them were excited to investigate something out of the range of the was the standard curriculum. 

We spend the rest of the lesson breaking out into groups and brainstorming what they wanted to produce as a team and who was going to take the lead on each frame. Next lesson they are going to begin their research using resources from the WH site, my collection plus additional resources they find.
