7.3 Holocaust Activities

Just finished teaching the lesson on the Holocaust with resources from lesson 7.3.  The primary sources were a major hit and students really appreciated the diverse variety of perspectives present.  I had them each select one of the primary sources and we practiced the skill of sourcing while reading.  After, we came back together as a group to discuss the different perspectives and experiences of those who experienced the Holocaust.  I'd encourage anyone near that point in the curriculum to check it out.

Thank you Dennis Clinger for posting these resources that I didn't know were available. Yesterday we had a convocation with a Holocaust survivor, David Schaecter. It was a powerful experience; we were moved by his story and resilience. The visit was aired in our local news channel.

Dennis, I appreciate the activities you implemented with your students. I like the activity on sourcing and perspectives. I will try them next year.
