Hi Eric Schulz , this is my version. I printed it out but I think it could work digitally, too. Feel free to make a copy and make it your own!

Ooooh, ERIN CUNNINGHAM I love this version! You really do have a gift for making assignments easily navigable for students.

Eric Schulz , here's my version. I give students the option to do it digitally or on hard copy.

Thank you.  I deleted lots of words from mine and used it.  With some tweaks, the lessons were going well but I want to change the look.  I am taking the inspiration for that from you.  Thanks again.  I'll reshare when and if that happens.

Really happy to help! To be totally honest, this activity totally flopped the first and probably second time I did it so it's been an ongoing process of reflection and reworking it over the last few years. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Definitely agree that this one is a real trial and error. I was discussing this with colleagues at my school including Lance Sum   Teressa Forquignon  John Gennaoui that it's a great project - but sometimes the analogy is lost on students or might be a bit abstract. I certainly will never forget the pit in my stomach when I was checking one group's work mid-period and found that they were doing an autopsy of a human... like talking about body parts and how they can cause people to die? Teacher fail moment!

Here are my materials for how I've rolled this out in the past if they're helpful! Slides / Worksheet.

I'll be doing this project in the next week so I'll likely shake things up a bit - shout out to ERIN CUNNINGHAM for your version - I admire how you always streamline things for your students without sacrificing rigor.

I've played around with this template again and have a new version.
