Buddhism and the Stones

Chris Scaturo
Chris Scaturo over 1 year ago

I was pretty proud of this assignment today.  Just sharing....

Mick Jagger says,
" You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometime you'll find
You get what you need."

On a scale of 1 to America, how in line is this with the teaching of Buddha?   Defend your answer.

    I added on this year:

Now, what  song do you think represents the beliefs of Buddhism?

Send me, Mrs. O'Meara and Bradley:

    a link to the song
The lyrics that represent Buddhism (at least 4 lines)
    And an explanation why

Most of the answers were bad to nonsenical (or AI generated) but this one I thought was spot on.

    Katy Perry Roar
"So I sat quietly, agreed politely
    I guess that I forgot I had a choice
I let you push me past the breaking point
I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything
You held me down, but I got up"
I think these lyrics represent Buddhism because Buddhism tries to break the standards that the Hindu's created. The Buddhists thought everyone was equal and even let women become priests because they thought that everyone had a chance to start anew. I think this  song represents Buddhism because it's telling people to do stuff they wouldnt and to not give up.
