New Crusades Video

I wanted to highlight a new resource in the Origins course: the “Causes and Consequences of the Crusades” video. I’ve had a hard time finding videos about the Crusades in the past that keep the content manageable and engaging for students.  This one does a great job of giving students just the right amount of content while employing the historical thinking skill of causation.

Thanks for the endorsement Anne Koschmider . I totally agree about it being difficult to find appropriate materials for teaching the Crusades--I think I've done something every year I've taught because I've never landed on something I really like. I'm looking forward to using the new video.

Did you find it accessible enough for students to watch independently (maybe with guiding questions) or did you watch as a class?

ERIN CUNNINGHAM we watched the video together in class. I had students jot down notes on causes and consequences of the Crusades as they watched.
