Unit 4 Revolutions

My class is learning about the Enlightenment and then the Age of Revolutions, one of my favorite topics. The OER project has a great activity in Unit 4 called Revolutionary Women. This activity has students picking one Revolutionary Woman, researching that woman, and then creating an influencer campaign for her. My students always have fun and have come up with some creative ad campaigns to convince their peers and me that their woman was the most revolutionary of the group. I especially like to use this activity around Halloween when kids are a little crazy how because they are often able to move about and get some of that extra energy out. Sometimes, I also get some really cool posters to hang up for parents to see on Parent-Teacher Conference nights.

This is such a great use of a resource while also keeping it relevant for the kids! I love the creation of an influencer campaign. What does that look like? I'd love to see the directions and/or a template for this activity!

I think the Revolutionary Women above is a link to the OER instructions and I just use those and modify them a bit for my kids if needed.
