I'm looking for the writing samples for the Unit 6 DBQ. Previous iterations of the World History 1200 contained sample answers to the DBQs. Does anyone know if they are still accessible?
Hi Jon. You can find this sample essay in lesson 6.1 of the 1200 course, linked in this writing activity.
However, if that's not what you're looking for, you can also find all the DBQ sample essays in the last lesson of each unit in the old course, in this Drive archive.
Does that answer your question?
Bennett, thank you for responding. I was searching for examples of responses to the DBQs for each step on the writing rubric. There would be a response that was scored a 4/4, 3/4, 2/4 etc. They were be annotated to show different aspects of the writing rubric with different colored squiggly lines or double lines to indicate a claim, evidence, or organization and structure. I do not see those. I found them to be helpful and I would like to continue to use them.
Jon, you can still find those in our Google Drive archive. Unit 6 is here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1wcRf1JSfKR27RoI7s1XZ5ZN5-piertWl (click on the teacher version)
We have been getting others asking around these, and we're looking into adding them into our teaching guides for each lesson to make them easier to find.
Hopefully that helps in the meantime!
