Vocabulary Match-up: Does anyone use the AP Vocabulary Match-up Activity with non-AP courses?

♀️Sure do! If I think it’s going to be a challenging set of terms, I have students do the activity on hard copy. If it’s a lower stakes preview/review, I project the terms and definitions on the board, have students pair-share answers, then check together as a group.

I just saw the activity this weekend. Is it new to AP?

I  was thinking that students would need support -- especially the first time.  I was going to limit the number of terms to keep it doable and not overwhelm them.

John Vidoli I definitely remember these activities in the 1200 course last year, but I don't recall for sure if they were in AP.

I agree about the support, especially early on in the year. 

Sometimes I put the terms in a slide deck if we are just doing a pair-share. I typically break the terms into smaller groups to make them readable on the slide, but also to narrow down the options for students. Maybe that would help your group too?
