When Students Conduct Inquiry, Everyone Learns - Brian Moore

Children are naturally inquisitive but they often need guidance when it comes to inspiring inquiry in the classroom. One of the first steps to becoming a successful inquiry guide is to get to know your students’ interests. Another is to allow your students to take risks—it is the risk-taking inquiry-based projects that are usually the ones that amaze students (and teachers!) on presentation days. Finally, work with your students to create rubrics and structure so they feel as though they’ve helped create the parameters of their learning.
