History’s Ability to Inculcate Compassion - Laura Keldorf

Focusing upon exposing and chronicling the complicit role that the government, at all levels, has played in the segregation of the American city, this talk offers insight into four sources that provide students with an opportunity to identify, analyze and discuss the generational impact of systemic racism in the United States. The inclusion of these sources allows for the teaching of a more comprehensive, racially-inclusive American history, and presents compelling evidence in support of history’s ability to inculcate compassion.
