Reading Skills Clinic After Party!

Welcome to the OER Project Reading Skills Clinic After Party!
This is an opportunity for everyone who attended the professional development session to continue learning—and for those who plan to watch the recording to join the conversation.
To get the conversation started, we have a few questions for you:
  • After participating in the Reading Skills Clinic and diving into the course, what else do you need to know about reading in OER Project courses?
  • How do you plan on using Three Close Reads in your classroom?
  • What other OER Project reading resources are you excited about? Share your ideas with the community!
We look forward to hearing from you. If you have read this far, click this link to receive an exclusive OER Project poster pack of your choice to jazz up your classroom!
If you want to learn more about the approach to reading in OER Project courses, check out this fantastic thread.

  • Thank you for the overview of the close read method.  I enjoyed how everyone shared their ideas, and how new material-like the checklist-was shared.

Oh, and a shout out for the posters.  I just got mine delivered from a previous session, and they are really well done. I got the Origins pack.

I have used the forums to gather other redo's of the reading protocol.  Could someone at OER, with better computer skills, put some of those documents in this chat for everyone else?

  • Hi  ! We are so glad you enjoyed the session and the posters!

Here are the resources shared in the PD Session:

Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Have a great school year!
