Climate Project Planning Session
June 5, 2024, from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. PT

Student interest in—and anxiety about—climate change is strong and growing. Climate Project (CP) is a new take on climate education grounded in the belief that students need the opportunity to discover, explore and interrogate the issue for themselves. If we avoid the fear, uncertainty, and bias that defines so much of the current climate debate we can support an entire generation of impatient optimists—with the skills, motivation, and insight to make a difference on their terms.

In this planning session, learn from the Climate Project team how to teach the course in your classroom this fall. You'll emerge with a solid grounding in the course materials and everything you need to create a workable teaching plan.

Climate Project is:

Practical: Students will gain data literacy, actionable skills, and advance their career preparedness.

Accessible: Teaching the course requires no special expertise. Set an example for students as the "lead learner" and explore the topic together.

Modular: The flexible curriculum is designed to be adapted to your classroom needs, allowing you to teach it in two days, a week, or a month of class time.

Optimistic: The course inspires "impatient optimism," moving past doom and gloom toward a measured and realistic evaluating of the facts, impacts, and most promising solutions to climate change.
