Using the Inquiry Design Model can transform your history classroom to be more engaging and accessible to students. Students thrive during inquiry because it pushes them to do the heavy thinking as they investigate issues, while simultaneously increasing student discourse and engagement. Inquiry design is a planning technique that blends backwards planning with strong questioning to create effective lessons based around student exploration, seminars, projects and debates.
