Explore the power of using court cases as narrative in the social studies classroom. This talk will introduce viewers to the value of using trials as stories representing individuals in a historical moment. Specifically, it will focus on ways Supreme Court cases can serve as entry points for students to study history, law, and the agency of individuals within our democracy. In addition, the talk will suggest resources and pedagogies to implement studying court cases as narrative within the classroom.
