Skills Clinic: Organized Writing for AP Students

Recorded September 7, 2023

How can we support AP students in using historical documents to understand, analyze, and share their understanding of world history? Document-Based Questions or DBQs provide AP students with the opportunity to review source materials and thoughtfully investigate some of the mysteries found in world history and, ultimately, on the AP World History exam. During this session, educators will unpack the OER Project’s approach to supporting AP writing instruction and review some of our prompts, materials, and strategies for helping students to grapple with DBQs. The OER Project’s AP World History Project materials and “Teaching AP World History” professional development materials are free, digital, and one of the few College Board-approved AP WH curricula.
