Using Oral History (track talk--Sue Metzler)

Wow!

This talk was packed full of reasons to include oral history in your social studies curriculum. AND it included a step by step for how to conduct an oral history project in your classroom. I am so impressed with Sue's depth of knowledge and experience. You MUST watch this talk!

  •  , I agree! The step by step process   gave makes this activity feel doable. What a great way to get students to do the work of historians! Now I am trying to think of where I would do a similar project in my BHP course.

  • Kind words - but any credit really goes to Carol Coe - I had been working on oral histories for several years with my students when she came to coach me.  She worked with myself and my students and really upped our game.  Please check out the recommended resources one-sheet - it is posted below, but I have also added it here.  PDF
