What freedom can be

Bryan Stevenson pointed out that by acknowledging the myth of white supremacy and the long history of injustice and overcoming it, white Americans too could be free!

  •  So many quotable phrases in his keynote speech! 

    I'd like to open up that idea and ask: what are some ideas about how WORLD history teachers can approach with these social/economic/political issues in a World/global context that could be continuities/throughlines in WH and US history?  How can WH teachers connect to current events, even if we're in a different time and place in the curriculum?
